Rockefeller Center, New York City - Art Deco Landmark
The GE Building, part of the Rockefeller Center complex in New York City is one of the best examples of the Art Deco mouvement in the USA. Built during the 30’s in a period of deep economic crisis, its architecture and decoration style is still today a true Art Deco masterpiece.
The pictures show the GE Building main entrance and lobby. Fresco have been created by Josep Maria Sert to reflect America’s belief in a brighter future that this country wanted to build.
Amazing place. I’m really gonna miss NYC this Xmas.
